TXTRI26 Update
Thank you to all who have signed up for TXTRI26! Currently at almost 150 sign ups.
We are a little over a week away and gearing up to bring you a great triathlon experience. I will be sending out a final update next Thursday.
Event Info Webpage: Updates will be on here and the Facebook Page. We are still looking for volunteers so have your friends sign up (Link on event page) to support your race.
TXTRI — nick to the plus
Packet Pick Up: We will have race day packet pick up only, at the race site (Boat Ramp18) come early so we can get everyone situated. Detailed maps are on the event webpage.
Gate Entry: Participants will be let in the gate, just show your bike, goggles or event receipt, but this should not be a big problem. The Event will cover the park entry fee of $5 for in county and $20 for out of county/ per car, so we encourage to ride share with your local friends if possible. Spectators will be charged the entry fee so let the gate attendant know you are a spectator.
Coming Late or Leaving Early: Event Timeline below. The park gate will be closed at 7am and not open for traffic until 11:30 (when the final cyclist is off the course). So, come early and plan to hang out for the duration of the event. Any cars on the course in the park will cause safety issues.
Sprint first Oly Second: Canyon Park is a beautiful venue for triathlon, but has constraints. Having both events at the same time would cause confusion and potential course cross. We are starting the Sprint first 7:15 and when the final cyclist is off the course, we will start the Olympic Distance at about 8am or earlier if possible. Hang out and cheer on your fellow athletes, have fun and support each other. We will have some activities (Led by LoneStar Active) and goodies to keep you occupied while you are not racing. Come have a TXTRILife great time.
We will have a time trial start by bib number order. DU3 Options will start with their respective distances. BIke/Run will start in transition when the first few cyclist come into transition from the swim.

Event Day Timeline-
530 - Park Opens
600-700 - Participants and Spectators arrive and Parking
600-700 - race day packet pick-up and transition open
700-1130 - no traffic in the park, all participants and spectators stay parked unless an emergency
700-1130 - Transition is closed, no traffic or anyone in transition unless still racing, we will have a security zone if you need access to your phone or essentials after you finish racing.
715 - Sprint Start
800 - Oly Start
830 - Final Sprint Cyclist off course
830 -11 Lone Star Active Fitness Festival
930 - First Oly Cyclist returns to transition
10 & 11 - Awards and post-race groove!
1130 - final finisher for oly, participants and spectators can leave the park
